CSC focuses trainings on leave administration
Tacloban City (October 15) -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office 8 will conduct a live out seminar which will focus on Leave Administration on November 232-23, 2006 at the Leyte Park Hotel in Tacloban City.
This was announced by Atty. Marilyn Taldo who said that among the topics which will be discussed include the General Leave Law and its applications, Government Office Hours, special leave privileges and other special laws on leave including the New Policy on Rehabilitation Leave per Civil Service Commission-Department of Budget and Management Joint Circular Number 1, series of 2006.
There will also be an in depth discussion on the Computation of Leave Credits and workshops and so the participants are enjoined to bring with them a calculator.
The training-workshop is a must for the personnel officers and other government employees who are designated to take care of the human resource or personnel office, in order to better equip them with the proper knowledge and tool to be able to perform their designation with efficiency.
The Civil Service Commission is a constitutional body in charged with the recruitment, building, maintenance and retention of a competent, professional and highly motivated government workforce truly responsive to the needs of the government's client - the public.
The Commission's specific functions are to lead and initiate the professionalization of the civil service, to promote public accountability in public service, to adopt performance-based tenure in government and to implement the integrated rewards and incentives program for government employees.
In order to defray the training expenses like the handouts and other materials, meals, venue rental and other incidental expenses, a training fee of P1,800.00 shall be collected payable to the Civil Service Commission Regional Office 8.
