NVizcaya gives P10 million for sports complex rehab
Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (16 October) -- The provincial government has released P10 million for the construction of a portion of the Clisoc Field Sports Complex (CSFC) here which was destroyed during the onslaught of typhoon “Yoyong” in December 2004.
Governor Luisa Cuaresma said the repair of the sports complex’s center wing is one of the priority projects under the infrastructure development thrusts of the provincial government.
The P10 million fund will also be used for the construction of other facilities and amenities of the sports complex to ensure the convenience and safety of participants to provincial events.
The CSFC serves as the major venue of big events hosted by the province not only in sports but also other significant events such as the yearly “Panagyaman”(thanksgiving) festival of the province.
The amount was the second package of funding assistance after the completion of repairs for the right wing of the sports complex.
Cuaresma attributed the intensified tax campaign of the province for the continuing availability of funds of the provincial government which are being used to fast track its infrastructure projects. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
