Investors to build Sarangani coco processing plants
Glan, Sarangani (16 October) -- The people of Glan, Sarangani had a reason to celebrate during the town’s 92nd Foundation Anniversary with the coming in of investors.
Glan Municipal Mayor Enrique Yap, Jr. said that businessmen are investing on coconut machineries that can process different coconut materials into usable coconut-finished products.
Yap disclosed that Sunrise Plant, represented by Residoro Chua of Cocoworld Corporation will partially build a plant for 1 hectare, and will find an ideal three (3) hectares for the construction of three (3) coconut processing plants.
Chua bared that the Land Bank will finance the said project in cooperation with the coconut planters. Each plant has 250 people to employ.
The construction of the building which will take three (3) months will cost P25M.
The plant can process virgin oil, cooking oil, coco diesel, coco gas, and other usable coco materials.
Glan has an estimated 43, 000 hectares coconut land which can cater to the raw material needs of the three (3) coconut processing plant. (R2/PIA 12) [top]
