ACTS coordinator elected ATOP vice-prexy
Koronadal, South Cotabato (16 October) -- The provincial coordinator of the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Sports (ACTS) Promotions Unit of South Cotabato was elected Vice-president for Mindanao of the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines, Inc. (ATOP) during the election of its new set officers last October 6, 2006 held at Lake Sebu Municipal Gymnasium of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.
Cesar S. Sulit Jr. was elected Vice-President for Mindanao of ATOP for 2007-2008. he was the former Secretary for Mindanao of the said organization from 2005-2006.
The new set of elected officers were as follows; President-Jennylind Cordero (Negros Occidental); Vice-president for Luzon-Norberto Archangel (Mandaluyong City); Vice-president for Visayas-Ma. Elma Gerasmo (Bacolod City), Vice-president for Mindanao- Cesar Sulit Jr. (South Cotabato); Secretary General-Roselyn Armida Merlin (Surigao City); Secretary for Luzon-Angelina Amat (Tanauan City), Secretary for Visayas-Rafael Duhaylungsod (Bayawan City, Negros Occidental), Secretary for Minadanao-Ma. Cora Tito (General Santos City); Treasurer –Josephine Orozca (Paranaque City), and Auditor-Amparo Buncad (Nueva Valencia, Guimaras).
Sixteen (16) regional representatives including the DOT Desk Officer were also elected, with 113 delegates voting during the said election.
COMELEC provincial officials led by Atty. Faisal Tanjili (Provincial Election Supervisor) acted as election officials during the election. (FCS/PIA 12) [top]
