BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (18 October) -- More than 80 personnel of the Land Transportation Office(LTO) in Cagayan Valley recently attended a one-day seminar-workshop to further hone their skills on law enforcement of traffic rules and regulations.

The seminar-workshop dubbed: “A Revival… Looking back on the fundamentals of law enforcement” was held at the Villa Domingo Renewal Center in barangay Maddarulug, Solana, Cagayan in October 11.

The activity, officials said was designed to uplift the image, professionalism and law enforcement skills of the LTO personnel that would contribute to its vision as one of the model agencies of the government.

The participants were taught on proper monitoring, detection, proper apprehension procedures and conduct most specially on smoke compliant vehicles and enforcement of administrative violations such as unlicensed, unregistered and unsafe or unequipped motor vehicles, according to lawyer Melinda Magpale, LTO regional chief of operations.

Roland Daniel, deputized LTO agent said the activity was a significant one since it equipped them not only apprehension but proper procedure and conduct in correcting such violations for the safety of commuters. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
