Emano sees bright prospects for Aussie investments
Cagayan de Oro City (18 October) -- City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano has successfully convinced the Australian-Filipino business community in Sydney, Australia to explore vast investment opportunities in Cagayan de Oro City.
This, after the city mayor ended the first leg of their trade mission in Australia over the weekend with a bright note.
Emano, together with local businessmen and trade officials, left earlier this month to lead another round of trade mission in Australia and nearby New Zealand, hoping to attract more foreign investors to consider investing here in Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental.
While in Australia, the delegation met with different groups of businessmen and the mayor presented viable investment opportunities the in city.
Emano reiterated that more investments Cagayan de Oro will readily translate into more job opportunities for the local residents, and increased revenue for the city government to implement better and improved social services.
Aside from luring Australian investors, the trade mission also sought to establish economic and friendship ties with the international community through sisterhood agreements.
