Kalinga exec presents 2007 proposed budget

TABUK, Kalinga (19 October) -- Kalinga Governor Dominador T. Belac Sr. had formally presented to the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP), the province government's proposed budget for the year 2007 in the amount of P285,275,390.48.
According to the governor, the proposed budget will be sourced out from the Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA), revenue taxes, operating and capital revenue.
"P269,855,194.28 will be coming from the IRA, P1.996,167.65 from revenue taxes, P13,274,540.46 from the Operating and miscellaneous revenue while P150,000.00 will be sourced out from the capital revenue," he said.
From said proposed budget, the governor reported that P100,144,431.30 will be utilized by the Social Services Sector which covers health, education, and other basic social services programs.
P80,940,070.50 is budgeted for the General Public Services Sector while the P36,724,357 will be used by the Economic Sector.
For the mandatory expenses, P53,971,038.73 is allotted for the 20% economic development fund, P14,256,295 reserved or for the 5% emergency fund, while the province also budgeted P459,000.00 as aid for barangays.
Once the budget is approved by the province's legislative and executive branches, it will be submitted to the Department of Budget and Management Regional office for appropriate action. (PIA-Kalinga) [top]
