Army recruits applicants for Candidate Officer

Cotabato City (20 October) -- The Philippine Army is now hiring and accepting interested applicants for processing for Candidate Officers, as scheduled on the 4th Quarter of 2006.

In a dispatch, Captain Ferdinand B. Rondina, of the Army Recruitment Center informed PIA 12 that they will be recruiting again another Two Hundred and Fifty (250) qualified applicants.

The scheduled of the examination in Mindanao area are the following:

    Pre Written Exam (PWE) in Cagayan De Oro City

  • 09-10 Nov. 06, Step1: Phil. Army Aptitude Test Battery
  • 11 Nov. 06, Step2: Army Qualifying Examination
  • 12 Nov. 06, Step3: Special Written Examination

    Pre Written Exam (PWE) in Davao City
  • 14 Nov. 06, Step1: Phil. Army Aptitude Test Battery
  • 15 Nov. 06, Step2: Army Qualifying Examination

  • 16 Nov. 06, Special Written Examination

All applicants may proceed to designated areas for registration. In Cagayan de Oro applicants are advised to report to ARC-Mindanao at Camp Evangelista. Contact person is Captain Rondina with Cell # 09106712417. Landline # (088) 350-2088 or E-mail address rondina_apm:@yahoo.com.

In Davao City applicants may register at ARC-Mindanao Extension Office, Hqs TF Davao, 101D, PA at Quimpo Blvd., Ecoland Subd., Davao City. Contact person is MSG Alva Cell # 09216081730.

All applicants are required to bring original copy of the ff:

  • Transcript of records;
  • Birth Certificate (NSO authenticated)
  • Any valid ID

Qualification for OCC and OP/CAD are the ff:

 

OFFICER CANDIDATE COURSE

  1. Must be single without child;
  2. Graduate of any baccalaureate degree with good scholastic records
  3. At least 5'4" in height for male and 5'2" for female
  4. 21 to 28 years old
  5. No pending case in both military and civilian courts
  6. Must be physically and mentally fit to undergo one(1) tear rigorous military training.

OFFICER PREPARATORY COURSE

  1. Graduate of any baccalaureate degree with good scholastic records
  2. Graduate of Probationary Officer Training Course (POTC)
  3. Must be commissioned in the Reserve Force as 2LT (inactive)
  4. At least 5'4" in height for male and 5'2" for female
  5. Not more than 31 years of age on the date of Call to Active Duty (CAD)
  6. No pending case in both military and civilian courts
  7. Must be physiacally and mentally fit to undergo six (6) month rigorous military training.

Successful applicants will have a chance to lead the men and women of the Philippine Army; job and financial security; free medical and dental services; a chance to go free local and foreign schooling; pension upon retirement, scholarship grants to AFP dependents; and initial gross pay of P17,000.00 for officers.
