Philippine Army urgent needs medical doctors

Cotabato City (20 October) -- The Philippine Army (PA) is urgently in need of medical doctors to beef up current number of doctors serving in the military.
In a dispatch sent to PIA 12, the Army Personnel Management Center-Mindanao at Camp Evangelista, Cagayan de Oro City has announced to interested parties that the Army is currently recruiting seventy seven medical doctors to be commissioned in the Reserved Force AFP and subsequently be called to Active Duty.
Pending approval of their appointment, qualified applicants will be appointed as P2LT and will undergo one-month military orientation training.
The initial appointment in the Medical Corps of the Medical Service shall be in the grade of Captain but fully trained and highly qualified specialists shall be appointed in the grade of Major and Lt. Colonel.
Major Julius A. Tomines (INF) PA, Chief, Procurement & Attrition Branch said that in order to facilitate applications, the requirements are lessened to the following:
- Graduate of Doctor of Medicine and holder of valid and current PRC license;
- Duly accomplished application form / personal data sheet;
- NBI clearance;
- Birth Certificate fron NSO;
- Diploma/Transcript of Records authenticated
- Board Rating/Board Certificate;
- Whole Body Picture;
- Not more than 35 years old upon application; and
- Must pass the Physical/Medical exam
