Iligan to host one-stop passport shop

Cagayan de Oro City (20 October) -- Iligan City will be hosting a One-Stop Center to be manned by the Mobile Passport Service Team (MPST) of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Regional Consular Office, Cagayan de Oro City from October 28 to 29, 2006 at the Iligan Bus and Northbound Jeepney Terminal in Tambo, Hinaplanon, Iligan City.

The team will process passports for applicants from Iligan and its neighboring areas. To be served will be first-time applicants, first-time applicants with delayed birth registration, minors, and those for passport renewal or replacement of lost passports.

“This is a regular program of the DFA, providing service to local government units (LGUs) interested to host the MPST,” said Alex Burias, media relations officer of the National Statistics Office (NSO) Iligan City/Lanao del Norte Provincial District Office.

Burias added that interested applicants will have to register first on October 25 and should appear personally for a briefing on the required documents. (PIA-10) [top]
