CSWD-Butuan shows concern to street children

by Jennifer B. Peña

BUTUAN CITY (October 23) -– With the growing concern of the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) on street children, especially those minors who were left behind by their parents and also those who are victims of child labor were gathered recently at Barangay Imadejas Convention Hall, this City, to let them know the different programs set by CSWD for them.

Being the responsible agency for keeping the children in good hands, the CSWD initiated this activity under the theme Sagip: Batang Lansangan at Batang Manggagawa.

During the activity, the CSWD has prepared foods for the street children. An orientation also took place to let the children know their rights.

The activity is a special project of Butuan City Council for the Welfare of Children under the chairmanship of City Mayor Democrito Plaza II. (PIA-13) [top]
