South Cotabato gets P3-M medical equipment

Polomolok South Cotabato (23 October) -- The local government unit of this municipality received a foreign assistance from a religious organization from South Korea through the “christ Map Mission Philippines”.
The assistance consisting of assorted medical equipment and an ambulance worth less P3,000,000 was personally turned over by Reverend Kim Young Kyun of Chosadong Asan City, Chung Nam, South Korea.
The medical equipment donated are the following: an operating table, micro-surgery set, laser machine and 2 units of cautery machines, which is use for the cutting or obulation of skin during operation, and a Hyundai-brand ambulance.
The said equipment were shipped from South Korea last September 2, 2006 on board a vessel owned by Dolefil, (Phils.), Inc. through the courtesy of Kevin Davies, the company President. It was received by the polomolok Municipal Hospital located at Brgy. Pagalingan, Polomolok on September 14, 2006.
Dr. Rogelio Aturdido Jr., Chief of the Polomolok Municipal hospital personally received the medical equipment and ambulance in the presence of 1st District Board Member Jose Falcon and Dolefil (Phils.), Inc. representatives Mauro Morales (Supervisor, Legal & Administrative Department) and Leamor Banaga (Supervisor, Human Relations Department).
Both Dr. Aturdido and Reverend Kyun personally supervised the assembly of the medical equipment upon its arrival. Dr. Artudido thanked Reverend Kyun for the assistance which he said, will surely benefit the constituents not only of Polomolok, but the entire province as well. (PIA 12) [top]
