NYD help desk gets preparedness training

Davao City (24 October) -- The Help Desk Volunteers attended a one-day seminar workshop to all NYD volunteers of different catechetical sites at John Paul II College, October 22, 9-3pm.
In an interview with the Secretariat Committee volunteer and facilitator, Ms. Maria Theresa Sarona, she explained the importance of accommodation and the role and function of Help Desk volunteers.
Ms. Sarona remarked that Help Desk volunteers are important people in welcoming the delegates because they provide information such as query on the master list of participants and housing facilities.
“Help Desk volunteers should always wear a smile on their faces kahit pa pagalitan na sila ng delegate, dahil hindi naman natin 'yan maiiwasan,” she beamed.
The Help Desk volunteers will be assigned to different locations, namely: Airport, Seaport at Sasa, and Bus Terminal at SM city.
To enhance the volunteers' readiness to perform effectively their duties and responsibilities during the event are the important highlights of the seminar.
There are three identified NYD sites: Ateneo Matina, Holy Cross of Davao College, Inc, and UIC Bajada. (PIA XI) [top]
