British power firm to expand RP operations
Quezon City (25 October) -- A leading player in the global energy market is set to expand its Philippine operations with an additional investment of $500 million.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frank Chapman of British Gas Plc. (BG) said his company will undertake new natural gas projects in Batangas. The British firm already operates two power plants in Batangas City.
Chapman bared his company’s expansion plans during a courtesy call on President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo this morning at Malacanang’s Music Room.
"I am honored to see you and also glad to inform you that we intend to induce additional funds for our plants in your country," Chapman told the President. (PIA) [top]
