LTFRB Cagayan Valley to computerize transactions
Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (26 October) -- To make its transactions faster and more systematic, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in the region will soon be joining the pool of computerized government agencies in the country.
Benito Dy-Cezar Jr., LTFRB regional director said the computerization program which was realized through President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's funding of e-government projects would shorten the processing time for those clients without board hearings from two and a half months to just one week and those with hearings for two years to just one month.
The computerization of the processing of franchise of Public Utility Vehicles(PUV) will be more efficient and faster for all transactions. "The transfer of database into the new system for the regional office would probably be completed by the end of the year," Cezar said.
The regional director added that with the computerization program, the movement of documents will be lessened to prevent the commission of faking and fixing by unscrupulous individuals.
Once completed, franchise holders would be given laser card which he or she can use at all LTFRB offices nationwide to check the status of their vehicle franchise. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
