In a written statement, Winston Guillen, BGF Chapter President and co-chairman of the Enterprise Development Committee said the Business Center will function principally as a practical training ground and as a business clinic for trainees in BGForum’s entrepreneurial skills development programs in IT-based businesses, and students enrolled in Business Entrepreneurship courses of FSUU and other schools in the Caraga region.

Guillen added that with the establishment of the center, students can put into practice the theories they have learned in the classroom by doing the actual application such as securing the necessary business permits, open and maintain bank accounts, and manage customer relationships.

The Business Center, according to Guillen, will also assist MSMEs start up a business by way of providing business organizations and individuals with all the benefits of a prime office without the need to be physically present. “For as low as P1,000.00 a month, an entrepreneur can avail of assistance in managing their office tasks such as secretarial jobs, mail receipt and custody, answer telephone calls, fax transmissions and other office works”, Guillen said.

Guillen also said the center will cater walk-in clients and offer Internet access for email and surfing. It also offers printing, photocopying and binding services with service rates competitive to other establishments who are also offering the same services.

A modular classroom will also be established at the center that will serve as a training venue for regular IT and Business Seminars and Workshops with a limited number of participants.
