Tagalog News: PGMA binuo ang task force para pigilin ang pandaraya sa credit cards

Koronadal, South Cotabato (27 October) -- Binuo ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ng task force na aatasang magsagawa ng mga hakbangin para sa tuluyang mahinto ang mga insidente ng pandaraya sa credit card dito sa ating bansa.

Sa Executive Order No. 573, inatasan ng Pangulo si Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez na manguna sa Anti-Fraud Task Force na binubuo ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at ng Philippine National Police (PNP) upang palakasin ang Republic Act 8484 o ang Access Device Regulation Act of 1998.

Ayon sa Pangulo, ang pandaray sa credit card ay isa ring pagsasabutahe sa ekonomiya dahil sa hindi maganda nitong imahe sa global market.

Samantala, umapela naman ang Credit Card Association of the Philippines (CCAP) sa Malakanyang na paigtingin pa ang pagsasagawa ng mga batas laban sa mga nandaraya gamit ang ilegal na credit cards. (PIA 12) [top]
