by Jun Mendoza

Lucena City (27 October) -- "The Southern Luzon Command will provide security assistance to GLOBE Telecom purposely to deter incidence of bombings on the company's towers in the South Luzon Area."

Parayno says that an agreement was forged between the Globe management and SOLCOM in maintaining an intensified guarding of GLOBE towers within the area of responsility of SOLCOM. However, the support of the general public to prevent similar incidences of such problem is still needed, added Parayno.

It will be recall that some towers of GLOBE have been reported bombed or destroyed which disrupted the company's services, thereby resulting in the forging of ties between the SOLCOM and GLOBE.

SOLCOM expect the cooperation of local residents by providing them informations of unscrupolous or doubtful persons roaming within their localities. (PIA-Quezon) [top]
