Photo release: Iloilo holds Parade of Festivals

Iloilo City (27 October) -- The Western Visayas Tourism Assembly closes here today with a "Parade of Festivals" at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand showcasing 17 performing festivals from the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental.
The festivities were witnessed by Regional Development Council chairperson Governor Sally Zaldivar Perez and Tourism Regional Director Edwin Trompeta.
Pahinis Festival
 Regional Developement Council VI (RDC) Chairperson Governor Sally Zaldivar Perez and DOT VI Director Edwin Trompeta give a hearty applause after the performance of the Pahinis Festival of Lauan, Antique during the Regional Parade of Festivals held at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand, Iloilo City October 27. The Parade of Festivals is one of the events of the week-long Western Visayas Tourism Assembly that showcased the 17 performing festivals from the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental. Tinuom Festival

Tinuom Festival is one of the 17 festival entries which participated in the event during the week-long Western Visayas Tourism Assembly held here in Iloilo City. Tinuom is a native chicken menu cooked in spices and broth wrapped in Banana leaves. |
