October 23, 2006 marks the beginning of a realization of this program for the women of the Dona Luisa Lorenzo Fadi (DLLF) Womens Cooperative in Barangay La Libertad, this municipality.
SEA-K is a program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) which grants loans to associations as much as P150,000 with 0% interest. This program aims to alleviate women's financial status and make them self reliant and help them start a small business that may assist their spouse in putting food in the table.
The SEA-K/Tindahan natin was launched with National Food Authority (NFA) rice sold at P18/kilo in their cooperative making quality and affordable rice available for the residents of the barangay especially to those who have meager income.
