LPG dealers impose P0.50-reduction in prices
Quezon City (30 October) -- For the fourth time this month, dealers of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will reduce retail prices by P0.50 a kilogram or P5.50 for every regular 11-kilogram tank.
Arnel Ty, president of the LPG Marketers Association (LPGMA), said the price adjustment will take effect midnight Tuesday.
LPG dealers have reduced product prices by a total of P2 a kilogram this month, or P22 for every regular-sized tank.
Come Tuesday, each tank should sell for about P460.
Ty noted that world contract prices recently fell anew, which may "hopefully" reflect in lower local retail rates next month.
He said the country's petroleum firms have only reduced LPG prices by P0.50 a liter this October. (PIA) [top]
