Southern Leyte (31 October) -- In celebration for the month of October as Children's Month, Day Care Workers Association in Sogod town here culminates its activities with a Children's Show attended by the day care children from different Day Care Centers in Sogod.

Sogod Budget Officer Martin Lagmay reported that to commemorate the activities for the children who plays a vital role in nation-building, Day Care Workers prepared a Children's Show which showcased different talents of the day care children such as folk dance, interpretative dance, Hawaiian dance, balak, chorus and action songs.

The national celebration dubbed as "Bright Child Yaman ng Pamilya, Yaman ng Bansa" was graced by Sogod Mayor Shefferd Lino Tan who delivered a short message this morning, October 30 at Sogod gymnasium.

While in Maasin, the City Social Welfare Office prepared a short program to culminate the month-long national celebration. It was attended by no less than Cong. Roger Mercado as the guest speaker. They celebrated a Holy Mass at the city gymnasium after the parade around the city proper before the program begun.
