Gensan displays advantages in e-business

General Santos City (31 October) -- This city enjoys at least five advantages in e-business, and these include quality human resource, strong affinity with the US, strong government support, reliable infrastructure, hospitable lifestyle and good infrastructure backbone network, Doris Delima, Assistant Region XII Director of the Department of Trade and Industry here said recently.

Delima disclosed, key factors that lure investor to a place include long term competitive cost structure, long availability of highly skilled resources, reliable infrastructure, language skills, ability to create positive customer service-oriented culture, stable political and economic environment, and good legal and regulatory framework, most of which are features of the locality.

Comes October 26-31 this year, the city would be celebrating another year of weeklong e-business week celebration. E-business activities are already lined-up to make the celebration essential to the city's e-business qualities. Activities already lined-up include those which cater to the ICT providers and suppliers, the academe, the graphic designers, the IT enthusiasts and the professionals, the accountants, the engineers, the training institutions, the would be entrepreneurs, the job seekers and the Telco providers.
