Dagupan reroutes traffic for All Saints' Day

DAGUPAN CITY (31 October) -- In line with the observance of the All Saints Day, the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) and the Dagupan City Police Station (DCPS) will implement traffic rerouting scheme on November 1. The traffic rerouting plan as laid out for the information and guidance of the visitors and motorists is as follows:

° Angel B. Fernandez Avenue West - two way traffic from junction Burgos Street to NBI office (Babaliwan Area) "No parking" on both sides of the road.

° Careenan Street - one way traffic from North to South direction. Strictly "No Parking" on both sides of thr road / street for all types of vehicles.

° All west and south bound passenger buses and jeepneys (CSI-Lucao, Lingayen-Sual-Dagupan route_ -- from ABF Avenue, will turn left to Zamora St., exiting Perez Blvd. towards Tapuac-Lucao Road to their point of destination from 7am to 11pm.

° All east, north and south bound passenger jeepneys - From ABF Avenue (Salisay, Bolosan, Tambac, Downtown and Bonuan, Sn.Carlos, Malasiqui, Sta. Barbara, Calasiao, Urdaneta) will turn left to Galvan St. exiting Perez Blvd. towards East and South direction from 7am to 11pm.

° All PUVs except tricycles shall pass through the left lane along ABF Avenue. All private vehicles including public utility tricycles shall pass through the right lane along ABF Avenue.

° Bonifacio Street - "NO ENTRY" to all types of vehicles. For pedestrian use only.

° Poolside (Tennis Court) - shall be designated as "PARKING AREA"

° Amado Street - one way traffic from corner Careenan street to corner Burgos Street extension. Exit for vehicles coming from Careenan street and Tapuac-Malued roads.

° Tapuac-Malued Road - two way traffic

° Burgos Street -- one-way traffic from corner ABF Avenue to corner Rivera Street

° Burgos Street extension - one way traffic from Burgos Extension / Rivera Street up to junction Perez Blvd/Tapuac Road.

° Rivera Street - Two-way traffic. Strictly "NO PARKING" on both sides of the street from corner Burgos Street to corner Galvan Street.

° Zamora Street - one way traffic from ABF Avenue to corner Perez Blvd (north to south direction).

° Ayusip road, Bonuan Boquig - one way traffic snow white up to Bonuan Cemetery (from south no north direction).

° All other streets - no change in traffic route plan.

POSO chief Robert Erfe-Mejia said provisions on coding, route violation and trip cutting per City Ordinance 1848-2005 is lifted on November 1 only.

Public utility tricycles will also be allowed to ply the streets along the main thoroughness on November 1. (PIA-Pangasinan) [top]
