Army, police personnel undergo workshop in newswriting, broadcasting

Daet, Camarines Norte (31 October) -- Some 45 army and police personnel actively participated in the three-day seminar-workshop on newswriting, broadcasting and public speaking held October 25-27, 2006 at the Audio Visual Production Center of the Camarines Norte provincial capitol here.
Col. Nestor R. Sadiarin, commanding officer of the Philippine Army 902nd Infantry Brigade, said that the army and police personnel need not only rifles but also the pen to accomplish their job.
He bared that the Philippine Army will provide a personal computer with publisher program for the 902nd IB to make their own news publication.
LTC Jose R. Pardo, 902nd IB Executive Officer/CMO, urged the army and police personnel to actively participate in the workshop to be equipped with knowledge and skills in newswriting/broadcasting. The topic discussed at the seminar/workshop included development communication, newswriting for print and broadcast, and public speaking.
The seminar/workshop sponsored by the Philippine Army (PA) was conducted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Bicol regional office and PIA Camarines Norte. (PIA Cams. Norte) [top]
