Hindi binago ang venue ng ASEAN Summit, ayon sa Palasyo

Koronadal, South Cotabato (16 November) -- Inihayag ni Secretary Eduardo Ermita, na ang Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit sa December ay gaganapin pa rin sa Cebu International Convention Center (CICC), salungat sa napa-ulat na papalitan ang venue.

Hindi man diumano natapos sa takdang deadline ang paggawa ng CICC, sanhi ng pagkaantala ng pagdating ng mga materyales at bunsod ng sunod-sunod ng bagyo ito umano'y mayroon pa namang tatlong linggo upang ito ay tapusin.

Ayon pa kay Ermita, inapbrubahan na ng MalacaƱang ang pagrelease ng P35 milyong piso para sa pagkumpleto ng venue.

Dagdag pa nito, ang ibang activities ng summit ay gaganapin diumano sa Shangri-la Hotel sa Mactan Island sa halip na sa CICC. (CGI/PIA 12) [top]
