Tagalog News: Walang "crackdown" sa mga journalists - Palasyo

Koronadal, South Cotabato (16 November) -- Siniguro ng Palasyo na walang "crackdown" sa mga media practitioners na bumabatikos sa Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at kay unang Ginoong Mike Arroyo. Ang pahayag na ito ay ibinigay kaugnay sa tangkang pagka-aresto kamakailan sa beteranang mamamahayag ng Business Mirror na si Mia Gonzales habang nasa press working area sa loob ng New Executive Building sa Malakanyang.

Ayon sa pahayag ni Press Secretary at Presidential Spokesman Ignacio R. Bunye, hindi makatarungan ang pagdawit sa pangalan ng Pangulo hinggil sa muntikang pag aresto kay Gonzales sapagkat walang impormasyong natanggap ang opisina nito bago pa man nangyari ang nasabing insidente.

Kaugnay nito, bigo naman ang mga pulis sa pag aresto kay Gonzales, gayunman hinaharap pa rin ang kasong libelo na isinampa ni Unang Ginoo hinggil sa isang pahayag na inilathala sa Newsbreak Magazine noong ika-7 na Hunyo taong 2004. (ajph/PIA 12) [top]
