Tagalog News: Exports ng coco products tumaas ng 10%

Koronadal, South Cotabato (20 November) -- Tumaas ng 10.1 percent ang export volumes ng major coconut-based products sa buwan ng January hanggang August ngayong taon ng mahigit 1.4 milyong metric tons ng copra equivalent, mula sa mahigit 1.2 milyon sa parehong buwan ng nakaraang taon, ayon sa United Coconut Associations of the Philippines.

Ang coconut oil na ginagamit sa food-related products, personal care products at fuel ay tumaas ng 11.8 percent o 758,292 metric tons. At ang copra meal, na ginagamit na ingredients sa animal feeds ay tumaas ng 5.9 percent o 276,056 metric tons. At ang Desiccated coconut naman, na ginagamit sa paggawa ng cakes, dessert at confectionary ay tumaas din sa 1.6 percent o 84,813 metric tons.

Tumaas din ng 2.2 percent o 84,929 metric tons ang Oleochemicals, na ginagamit sa paggawa ng detergents, cosmetics at paint, at bilang base o additives para sa pagkain, medisina, plastic rubber at textiles. (CGI/PIA 12) [top]
