Tagalog News: Security forces ng ASEAN meet handa sa anumang klaseng pag atake

Koronadal, South Cotabato (20 November) -- Inihayag ni military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Bartolome Bacarro na ang security forces para sa 12th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit sa Cebu ay handang handa na sa anumang klaseng pagsalakay na gagawin kabilang na ang mga underwater attacks.

Ayon pa kay Bacarro, hindi naman binabalewala ng mga militar ang sinuman na maaaring maging sangkot sa mga pag-atake.

Ang limang-araw (5) na summit na magsisimula sa ika sampu (10) ng Disyembre ay mamanmanan ng may 7,000 kapulisan at 3,000 mga sundalo. Ang military security detail naman ay kabibilangan ng mga tropa mula 7th Marine Batallion, 7th and 46th Army Infantry Batllions, dalawang (2) civil disturbance management (CDM) companies, at ropa mula sa Central Command (CENCOM) ng rehiyon.

Ikakalat din ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) ang kanilang mga air assets kasama ang night-capable UH-1H helicopters, OV 10 bronco light attack planes at ang C-130 cargo airplanes. Gayundin ang mga tropa mula sa Air Force's 2nd Tactical Operations wing na siyang magmamanipula ng 205th Helicopter wing, 5th Strike Wing, 710th Special Operations Wing at ang 505th Search and Rescue Wing.
