Tagalog News: Ekonomiya tinatayang tumaas ng 5.2-5.8% sa Q3

Koronadal, South Cotabato (21 November) -- Ang paglakas ng export sector at magandang farm output na nakapagtala ng 4.27%, kasama na rin ang paglakas ng remittances mula sa mga OFWs ay nakatulong sa pagtaas ng ating Gross Domestic Product (GDP) mula 5.2% hanggang 5.8% nitong third quarter ng taong kasalukuyan. Ito'y ayon sa pahayag ni Dennis Arroyo, director for planning and policy sa National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

Ayon pa kay Arroyo, tinatahak na ng bansa ang growth target na 5.5-6.1% para sa buong taon. Isa rin umano itong palatandaan na kaya na ng bansa ang masustintuhan ang growth momentum sa ika-4th quarter ng taon.

Hindi pa man naipalabas ang quarter figure sa Gross Domestic Product inaasahan Economic Planning Secretary Romulo Neri ang third quarter GDP ay tataas sa 5.5% o higit pa na siyang magdadala sa ekonomiya sa pagtaas na 5.6% sa taong 2006. (PIA 12) [top]
