Tagalog News: Esperon hindi tetistigo laban sa coup plotters

Koronadal, South Cotabato (22 November) -- Inihayag ni Armed Forces Chief General Hermogenes Esperon Jr. na hindi siya tetistigo laban sa 30 officials na nahaharap sa court martial na inakusahang nakipagsabwatan na paalisin si Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo noong Pebrero.

Nagsumiti din ng affidavit si Esperon sa Judge Advocate General's Office (JAGO) kung saan napapaloob ang purported roles sa tangkang pag-aalsa ng mga ex-marine commandant na pinangunahan nina Major General Miranda, Army Brigadier General Danilo Lim, Marine Colonel Ariel Querubin, at iba pa. Naging basihan ng JAGO ang nasabing affidavit sa pagrecomenda ng court martial sa mga suspected coup plotters.

Sa isinumiting affidavit ni Esperon sa military prosecutors, nakapaloob dito ang pagkombinsi nina Lim at Querubin sa top brass ng Pebrero 23 na sumali sa antigovernment march na gaganapin sa araw ng ika-20 anibersaryo ng EDSA 1. (Sjg/PIA12) [top]
