Tagalog News: Visa hindi hadlang sa Pilipinas upang i-ban ang mga foreign "troublemakers"

Koronadal, South Cotabato (27 November) -- Inihayag ni Justice Secretary Raul Gonzales, na hindi sapat na garantiya ang entry permit ng mga foreigner upang makapasok sa Pilipinas kung sakaling ito ay paghihinalaan na magdudulot ng kaguluhan sa darating na Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit.

Ayon kay Gonzales, gagamitin diumano ng pamahalaan ang "intelligence information" mula sa mga sources sa loob at labas ng bansa upang supilin ang "troublemakers" na gagawa ng mga kaguluhan para iantala ang ASEAN summit.

Dagdag pa nito, kahit may entry visa pa man diumano ang isang foreigner ay maaari pa rin itong pagbawalang pumasok sa ating bansa.

Ayon pa kay Immigration Commissioner Alipio Fernandez Jr., ang entry visa ay isang pribilihiyong maaring ipawalang say-say sa maraming kadahilanan, tulad ng pagbabanta sa national security na maaring idulot ng isang foreigner. Ito'y isang case-to-case basis, saad pa nito (CGI/PIA 12) [top]
