30 high school freshmen get Davao Light cash incentive
Davao City (1 December) -- Thirty (30) elementary valedictorians who are now enrolled as freshmen in different public high schools in Davao City recently received a cash incentive of P3,000 each from Davao Light and Power Company. Another batch of 20 valedictorians from Panabo City, Carmen, Dujali and Sto. Tomas in Davao del Norte will receive theirs soon.
This after they successfully passed the qualifying written examination given by the Aboitiz-owned electric utility. The 30 in Davao City, and 20 more in the Davao del Norte franchise of Davao Light, are among the close to one hundred applicants of the incentives program. They are also the second batch of beneficiaries. The first batch was recruited during school year 2005-2006.
