PIA Press Release

Ifugao hires more provincial employees

by Jina Shirley G. Dacmay

LAGAWE, Ifugao (4 December) -- The social payback of economic reforms is starting to be felt in the province as more jobs in the provincial government here were filled with five permanent positions and seven job orders.

According to the newly installed Governor Glenn Prudenciano, these positions were recommended by the Provincial Selection Board (PSB) for appointment and were the choice of the past administration under the late Governor Benjamin Cappleman. He, however, was not able to sign their appointment papers before his untimely demise last October.

Joining the family of the provincial government are Dr. Karen Biado, Medical Officer 111 to serve the Ifugao Provincial Hospital; Lalaine Buclay, Medical Technologist 11, Panopdopan District Hospital in Lamut municipality; Revelyn C. Acpal, Nursing Attendant 1, Alfonso Lista District Hospital, Municipality of Alfonso Lista; Engr., Manuel Halupe, Engineering Assistant 1, Provincial Engineering Office and Edwin Limmong Senior, Security Guard 1, General Services Office.

In honor of the late Governor and in continuation of his programs, there was no need to call for another screening process.

As for the co-terminous positions of which Prudenciano was given the privilege to replace, he opted to retain same staff from the past administration as a gesture of cooperation with the leadership of the late Cappleman and to demonstrate "that the leadership of the province is not a leadership of people where the governor comes from. Though they have served another administration, there is a need for the continuity of their service and support to the administration, " he stressed.

Prudenciano hopes his action will be a uniting force for the betterment of Ifugao. (PIA-Ifugao) [top]
