Tagalog News: PGMA inilunsad ang Libreng Tawag project para sa mga OFWs

Koronadal, South Cotabato (21 December) -- Inilunsad ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ang Libreng Tawag project bilang simpleng regalo ng pangulo sa mga kamag-anak ng mga Pilipinong nasa ibang bansa.

Sa pamamagitan ng programang ito, maaari ng makausap ng mga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) ang kani-kanilang mga mahal sa buhay ngayong pasko.

Ang nasabing programa ay tinawag na "Libreng Tawag sa Kapaskuhan" kung saan nagsimula na noong Disyembre 19, 2006 Martes hanggang Miyerkules ng alas singko ng hapon at magpapatuloy naman sa Disyembre 27-29 mula alas 9 ng umaga hanggang alas singko ng hapon sa Quezon City Hall's Risen Garden.

Pinangunahan ng National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) sa pakikipagtulungan ng apat na major telecommunications companies ang programang ito upang matulungang maiparating ng mga OFWS at mga indigent Filipinos ang kanilang mga mensahe sa kanilang mga pamilya sa buong mundo. (anp/PIA 12) [top]
