Tagalog News: Security plan sa May 14 elections sa ARMM handa na

Koronadal, South Cotabato (10 May) -- Nakahanda na ang security plan ng Police Regional Office sa ARMM (PRO-ARMM) para matiyak ang payapa, maayos at malinis na botohan sa May 14 elections.

Ipinahayag ni PRO-ARMM Regional Director P/Chief Supt. Joel Goltiao na kanyang ina-alam at tinitiyak ang pagtugma ng security plan ng bawat police provincial office sa security plan ng partner agencies tulad ng COMELEC at AFP.

Ayon kay Goltiao, ang PNP-ARMM ay mayroong mahigit 6, 000 personnel na itatalaga sa 1, 556 polling precincts sa Autonomous Region sa darating na May 14 elections.

Ayon kay Goltiao, kanya ring inirekomenda sa COMELEC ang karagdagang tropa ng militar na itatalaga sa iba’t-ibang lugar sa ARMM tulad ng Lanao del Sur at Sulu dahil sa kakulangan ng mga pulis.

Tiwala si Goltiao na ang May 14 elections ay magiging “honest, orderly, peaceful at credible.”

Samantala, nilinaw ni COMELEC-ARMM Regional Director Rey Sumalipao na ang pagtatalaga ng mga sundalo sa May 14 elections ay upang magbigay seguridad na 50 metro ang layo mula sa polling precincts.

Tiniyak ni Sumalipao na ang pagdaraos ng botohan sa “conflict-affected municipalities sa Sulu” sa kabila ng manaka-nakang sagupaan sa mga bayan ng Indana, Panamao at Parang. (pbc/PIA 12) [top]
