Tagalog News: Pangulo pinagtutuunan ng pansin ang proyekto para sa super regions

Manila (29 May) -- Masusing pinagtutuunan ng pansin ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ang nakalaang mga proyekto para sa super regions bago matapos ang kanyang tatlong (3) taong termino bilang Pangulo ng bansa.

Ayon kay Economic Planning Secretary Romulo Neri, ipinag-utos na ng Pangulo sa lahat ng mga ahensya ng pamahalaan ang pagsasagawa ng mga proyekto sa ilalim ng Medium Term Investment Plan.

Ang nasabing proyektong pang imprastraktura para sa super regions ay binigyang diin ng Pangulo sa kanyang State of the Nation Address noong July 2006.

Balak ng Pangulo na magtayo ng isang agribusiness quadrangle sa North Luzon at industrial beltway sa Metro Luzon. Ang Visayas naman ay gagawing santuwaryo ng serbisyo at turismo habang ang Mindanao ang magiging country’s food basket sa bansa.

Ayon pa kay Economic Advisor Joey Salceda aabot sa P372.02 billion pesos ang kakailanganing pondo para sa mga proyekto sa super regions. (Abb/PIA 12) [top]
