Tagalog News: Tax evaders may pagkakataong linisin ang kanilang record

Manila (16 August) -- Inihayag ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) na ang mga kakasuhan pa lamang na tax evaders ay mabibigyan ng pagkakataong linisin ang kanilang record sa ilalim ng rules and regulations ng Tax Amnesty Law.

Sa ilalim ng amnesty law, ang mga makakasuhan ay hindi na mahaharap sa anumang tax evasion charges hanggat sila ay nakapagbayad sa BIR ng katumbas na 5.0% ng kanilang kabuuang kita mula sa taong 2005 na siyang magiging kabayaran sa kanilang outstanding tax liabilities at interest.

Ang mga makakakuha ng amnesty ay ang mga makakasuhan pa lamang subalit ang mga nauna ng nakasuhan at nabigyan na ng kaparusahan sa korte ay hindi na pinapahintulan pang makauha ng nasabing amnesty.

Ang mga applikante para sa amnesty na ibibigay ng BIR ay kinakailangang magpakita ng statement of assets, liabilities at net worth mula noong December 31, 2005 na magiging basehan para malaman ang kanilang amnesty fee. (Lgtomas/PIA 12) [top]
