Tourism director urges Isabelans to nurture tourist spots
SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela (October 3) -- The Cagayan Valley's regional tourism chief has urged the participants, coaches and visitors during the celebration of National Tourism Week held here last week to nurture the God-given tourist spots in the region.
Regional tourism director Blessilda G. Diwa, a professional nurse, said this during her opening statement before the contestants and coaches from the four provinces-Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino - (Batanes not represented) including the region's three cities-Santiago, Cauayan and Tuguegarao before the start of the Regional Tourism Quiz Bee as one of the activities for the celebration of National Tourism Week.
"I am a nurse by profession but now nurturing tourist spots in the region, Mayor Navarro is also a nurse nurturing the people of Santiago, so expect us to be a good nurse", said director Diwa.
The 2007 Regional Tourism Quiz Bee is hosted by the city of Santiago.
The region's tourism chief also said she hailed Santiago City officials headed by Mayor Amelita S. Navarro through its City Tourism Office for hosting the 2007 Regional Tourism Quiz Bee. (PIA Isabela) [top]
