Tagalog News: PGMA bumiyahe patungong India

Manila (5 October) -- Mula China, si Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ay lumipad para sa tatlong araw na state visit sa India.

Tampok sa state visit ng Pangulo ang paglagda ng ilang kasunduan na inaasahang magpapalawig at magpapatibay sa ugnayang pang-ekonomiya at diplomatiko sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at India.

Sa pagbisita ni Pangulong Arroyo sa India, lalagdaan ang dalawang kasunduang pangkalakalan sa pagitan ng Macropharma Corporation ng Pilipinas at Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Ng India para sa pagtiyak ng mabisa at de kalidad subalit murang mga gamot sa larangan ng nephrology at oncology.

Isa pang memorandum of agreement ang lalagdaan sa pagitan ng State Trading Corporation of India Ltd. at ng Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC) para sa long-term na ugnayang pangkalakalan sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa.

Nakatakdang makipagpulong si Pangulong Arroyo kay Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh bago ang state banquet sa pangunguna ni Indian President Prathiba Patil.

Magtatalumpati rin ang Pangulo sa isang meeting sa the Filipino-Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICC), at sa Filipino community ng nasabing bansa. (pbc/PIA 12) [top]
