Tagalog News: Agarang resolusyon sa extra-judicial killings at disappearances ipinag-uutos ng Pangulo

Manila (8 October) -- Mahigpit na ipinag-uutos ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at sa Department of National Defense (DND) ang agarang paglutas sa mga kaso ng extra-judicial killings at "disappearances" at ang pagbuo ng mga effective measures upang iwasan ang mga umanoy "military abuses."

Ang Administrative Order (AO) 197, na nilagdaan kamakailan ng Pangulo ay nag-uutos din sa AFP at DND na madaliin ang recruitment, training, at deployment ng mga Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Units (CAFGUs) kapalit ng mga "transferred troops."

Nakatuon din ang nasabing Order sa pag-iimbestiga at sa pagbibigay wakas sa pandaraya lalo na sa collection of salaries sa pamamagitan ng mga "ghost CAFGUs."

Sa ilalim ng AO 197, inatasan din ang DND at AFP na makipag-ugnayan sa Presidential Human Rights Committee (PHRC) upang lalo pang maisaayos at mapabilis ang resolusyon ng mga kaso ng extra-judicial murders at kidnappings sa bansa. (ajph/PIA 12) [top]
