Tagalog News: Compressed natural gas inilunsad

Manila (26 October) -- Sa layuning mapataas ang supply ng enerhiya sa sektor ng transportasyon at matugunan ang mga environmental concerns sa bansa inilunsad kamakailan sa pangunguna ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ang Shell's Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) pilot project sa Laguna.

Ayon kay Pangulong Arroyo, ang nasabing compressed natural gas (CNG) ay magsisilbing alternatibong panggatong na malaking tulong sa sektor ng transportasyon.

Ang Natural Gas Vehicle Program for Public Transport (NGVPPT) ay binuo sa ilalim ng executive order 290 na naglalayong mapa-unlad ang energy supply security sa sektor ng transportasyon sa pamamagitan ng fuel diversification gamit ang indigenous natural gas upang mapangalagaan ang kalikasan sa pamamagitan ng pagtataguyod sa paggamit ng natural gas bilang malinis na alternatibong enerhiya sa transportasyon.
