Tagalog News: Fish Conservation Week matagumpay na ginanap

Koronadal City (31 October) -- Naging matagumpay ang ginanap na Fish Conservation Week na ipinagdiriwang tuwing ika tatlong linggo ng Oktubre sa bisa ng Presidential Proclamation No. 176 na nilagdaan ng dating Pangulong Diosdado Macapagal at naglalayong maipaabot sa mga mamamayan ang kanilang obligasyong protektahan ang ating yamang dagat.

Naging tema sa isang linggong pagdiriwang ang "Maunlad na Pangisdaan sa Teknolohiyang Makakalikasan" kung saan nagkaroon ng teach-in lecture sa iba't-ibang paaralan ng General Santos city at fish quiz show para sa mga mag-aaral at mga stakeholders.

Binigyang diin ni Councilor Richard Atendido na kumakatawan kay Honorable Mayor Pedro B. Acharon Jr. na malaking tulong sa mga mamamayan ang fisheries, kabilang na ang aquaculture na matugunan ang kanilang pangangailangan tulad ng pagkain, trabaho, recreation at trade at economic well-being.

Kaugnay nito hinikayat naman ni Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) 12 Regional Director Sani D. Macabalang ang lahat ng mamamayan na makiisa sa kanilang kampanya na pangalagaan at protektahan ang coastal resources ng bansa at maging responsible sa paggamit ng ating yamang dagat.
