Tagalog News: Every-Child-A-Reader program ng DepEd itinaguyod

Manila (5 November) -- Naging matagumpay ang isinagawang National Read-A-Thon contest na kabilang sa programang Every Child A Reader Program (ECARP) ng Department of Education (DepEd) na nilahokan ng mga representante mula sa labin limang (16) rehiyon sa bansa.

Ang ECARP ay isa sa mga programa ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon na naglalayong mapa-unlad ang kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral sa larangan pagbabasa lalo na yaong mga nasa unang baitang hanggang sa ikatlong baitang ng elementarya.

Ayon kay Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Jesli Lapus, ang National Read-A-Thon contest ay nagsilbing daan para sa mga young readers na maipakita ang kanilang kagalingan sa pagbabasa kung saan nagpapakita lamang na matagumpay na naipatupad ang Every Child A Reader Program (ECARP) lalo na sa pagpapa-unlad ng reading competencies ng mga schoolchildren.
