Tagalog News: Price Regulatory Board itatatag ng Cheaper Medicine Bill

Manila (20 November) -- Ang ginawang Cheaper Medicine Bill ng House of Representatives ay inaasahang maipapasa ngayong linggo. Kasama nito ang pagtatatag ng Price Regulatory Board na magtatalaga ng maximum retail prices ng mga gamot na ibinibenta sa pamilihan.

Ayon sa kamara, ang Price Regulatory Board ang mag-regulate ng presyo ng mga gamot kahit walang konsultasyon ng mga pharmaceutical players upang maibigay sa mga mamamayan ang murang gamot lalong-lalo na para sa may malulubhang karamdaman.

Kabilang din sa babaguhin ng Cheaper Medicine Bill ay ang Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Generics Law at Pharmacy Law kung saan layunin nitong maibigay ang nararapat at abot-kayang lunas sa mga karamdaman lalo na ngayong marami umano sa mga Pilipino ang bumibili na lamang ng mga pamatay-kirot na gamot upang maibsan lamang ang kanilang nararamdaman sa halip na ang gamot na makapagpapagaling sa kanila dahil sa kataasan ng presyo nito.
