Tagalog News: World Bank magbibigay ng P7 bilyon sa Pilipinas

Manila (23 November) -- Sa kabila ng pagkansila ng World Bank sa first phase ng isang loan proposal ng Pilipinas, inihayag ni Budget Secretary Rolando Andaya Jr. na magpapatuloy parin ang World Bank sa pagpondo ng development project ng bansa kung saan magbibigay ito ng P7 bilyon sa susunod na taon.

Binigyang diin ni Andaya na ang napaulat na pagsuspende sa proposal loan ng Pilipinas para sa pagpondo ng National Road Improvement and Management Program (NRIMP) ng bansa ay naging daan pa umano upang mapuna ng World Bank ang sariling procurement rules ng bansa.

Dahil dito, inimbitahan umano siya ng World Bank bilang tagapagsalita sa Tanzania sa susunod na taon upang maibahagi sa mga bansa ng Africa ang magandang e-procurement system ng Pilipinas.

Dagdag pa ni Andaya, hindi umano naging hadlang sa magandang samahan ng Pilipinas at World Bank ang pagkansila ng first phase sa loan proposal ng bansa sanhi ng failed biddings bagkus naging mas matibay pa umano ito. (Lgtomas/PIA 12) [top]
