Tagalog News: Minimum wage sa ARMM binabalak na itaas

Koronadal City (13 December) -- Sa ginanap na Public Consultation on Minimum Wages sa ARMM kamakailan, karamihan sa mga partisipante mula sa nasabing rehiyon ay sumang-ayon sa pagtataas ng minimum wage sa rehiyon matapos ang pagpapalabas ng Wage Order No. 9 ng nakaraang taon kung saan nagkakahalaga ng P190 ang minimum wage at karagdagang P10 na cost of living allowance (COLA).

Ipinaliwanag naman ni Susan Anayatin na kumatawan kay Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-ARMM) Secretary Ishak Mastura na ang rehiyon umano ay isa sa mga may mababang pamantayan ng pamumuhay kung kaya't meron itong mababang minimum wage sa kadahilanang ang mga presyo ng bilihin dito ay mas mababa lalo na sa pagkain kung ikukumpara sa ilang lugar tulad na lamang ng Maynila.

Pagkatapos ng talakayan, napag-usapan ng mga partisipante sa nasabing konsultasyon na magsumite na lamang ng output sa RTWPB-ARMM upang mapagdesisyunan ang usapin sa pagtaas ng minimum wage sa ARMM. (Lgtomas/PIA 12) [top]
