Free medical services by US doctors slated in Dipolog
Dipolog City (2 February) -- A free medical mission by American doctors is slated to be held at the ZaNorte Medical Center (ZNMC) come February 1-13.
ZNMC administrator Rosevic Ocampo that the first batch of American doctors arriving on February 9 will be composed of ophthalmologists who are going to conduct cataract operations to the first 20 patients.
Some optometrists will also be with the initial batch of doctors to conduct free eye examination. They will also be giving free eye glasses to senior citizens and schoolchildren.
Ms. Ocampo also disclosed that the second batch of doctors composed of prosthetics shall attend to patients who have lost their legs. She, however, said only those patients who lost their legs due to accidents shall, receive artificial legs two months after the consultation. (PF/PIA-ZN) [top]
