DTI Zambo to conduct seminar on certified establishments in Aurora and Molave towns
Zamboanga City (2 February) -- A seminar on Department of Trade and Industry-Certified Establishment (DTI-CE) is slated on February 17 and 19, 2009, to be held in the municipalities of Aurora and Molave, Zamboanga del Sur respectively.
The seminar is aimed to raise public awareness of the DTI's program in giving recognition to business establishments that comply with all the DTI trade and industry laws such Price Tags, Labeling and Standards.
The DTI-CE Program is a recognition system of the Department of Trade and Industry to business establishments/retailers selling products and services with great value, durability and safety. It also encourages business establishments to establish Consumer Welfare Desks, which will create a more consumer friendly business atmosphere by building harmonious relationships with consumers in terms of complaint management and consumer satisfaction. It further recognizes the efforts of the business establishment in maintaining quality and environmental management system.
Business establishments which are qualified in the search for DTI-CE are given the DTI-CE Seal, in Gold, Silver or Bronze, according to the category it qualifies. All retail establishments, supermarkets, department stores, appliance center, hardware stores, and DTI accredited service repair shops are qualified for evaluation and be awarded with DTI-CE Seal.
