Cotabato solon turns over P3M multi-purpose building in Alamada
Cotabato City (5 February) -- For residents of barangay Bao, in the municipality of Alamada, Cotabato province, the multi-purpose building constructed through 1st district Rep. Emmylou "Lala" Taliņo-Mendoza, is a dream come true.
Alamada mayor Ernesto Conception said, residents in said barangay are glad to have such project that would serve as market and trading center as well as for other activities.
Livelihood activities of residents would surely be enhanced to augment family income, Conception said.
In the turn-over ceremonies recently, Cotabato 1st District Rep. Mendoza urged proper and maximum utilization of the building and urged barangay residents to do their share and responsibilities that will redound to the benefit and general welfare not only of the barangay but the whole town of Alamada.
Mendoza said.
On the issue of the proposed additional one year for courses in the tertiary level, the solon expressed strong opposition to the move.
Mendoza opined that such proposal is a bad timing considering the effect of the global recession to the country's economy.
(PBC/PIA Cot City) [top]
